David Rowlands
Clinical Director, Veterinary Surgeon
BVSc Cert EM(Stud Med) MRCVSDavid comes from a competitive riding and horse breeding background in Cornwall. He graduated from Liverpool University in 1997 and worked in Ireland and New Zealand before helping to establish Penbode Equine in 2005. He is part of the British Equestrian Federation veterinary support team and has officiated at international events including the London 2012 Olympics.

Hermione Jane

BSc (Hons) BVM&S certAVP(ED) MRCVSHermione graduated from Edinburgh University in 2012, having included a research scholarship in equine stud medicine at Colarado State University, USA and joined Penbode Equine Vets the same year. Hermione has grown up locally, being a keen East Cornwall Pony Club member in her earlier days and then more recently competing at BE and BS. She is keen to get back out competing again after some time away, in part to study for a certificate in Equine Dentistry.

Jeremy Hyde

BVetMed MRCVSJeremy started the Eqwest Veterinary Clinic in 1997, before joining forces with Penbode in 2016. His special interests lie in the investigation and treatment of musculo-skeletal disorders. When not working or playing with horses, he enjoys keeping fit by sea kayaking, playing tennis or exploring the moors.

Dr. Keesjan Cornelisse
Veterinary Surgeon
DVM MSc PhD DipACVIM MRCVSKeesjan graduated from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. He completed a Residency in Equine Internal Medicine in the USA at Michigan State University and is an American Specialist in Equine Medicine (ACVIM). He has published in numerous popular and peer reviewed veterinary journals. Over the years he has worked in many countries in first opinion equine practice and equine referral/hospital setting.

Emily Roissetter
Veterinary Surgeon
BSc (Hons) BVetMed MRCVSEmily graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London and joined the Penbode Equine team this year (2024). She previously had a career as a veterinary nurse before going on to train to be a veterinary surgeon. She has played Polo in the past and would love to get back into this soon. Emily is a keen runner and trains with a local running club, she has a 23km race coming up towards the end of the year in Sweden.

Anna Dinnis
Head Equine Receptionist
Anna joined Penbode Vets in July 2016 where she works in the Equine Department. She tries to involve herself in most things Equine including riding, carriage driving and getting involved with the talks that Penbode host. In her spare time she enjoys taking long walks with her family.

Abby Wade
Veterinary Technician
Abby started at Penbode in February 2021 as a small animal receptionist, before moving across to the equine team as a veterinary technician in September 2023. Other than the obvious riding, she enjoys walking the beaches and Devon countryside with her spaniel, Fern.
